You and Karen stay, the guys go

Karen tells you that the thing that pissed her off most at her cousin is that Amber went psycho and was saying Bobby was too stupid to be boyfriend material and that you aren't good enough for Karen. Amber isn't going to tell Bobby it is over-she wants to see if he can figure it out for himself. Amber said that you made a good show last weekend but that you will soon have Karen pregnant. Karen called her a bitch for those remarks and stormed out. Karen tells you that Amber often has these mood swings, but that this latest episode is borderline bi-polar.

You take Karen back to your uncle's house where you and your friends decide what to do next. Karen tells you that she wants to be alone with you all night. You are about to tell Bobby what Amber told Karen when your cousin Ben calls. Ben is 20 and lives two hours away. He says that things got uncomfortable at a party he was at outside of Smalltown. He is in a friend's car and about two minutes from your mom's house and asks if you can give him a ride to Johnson College where his truck is. You tell him you are at Uncle Jim's and ask if he can meet you here. He walks in the door five minutes later and looks like he was punched in the gut.

He tells you that he just got dumped by his girlfriend and wants to find a different party and to forget that bitch. You, Ben and Bobby have canoed and camped a lot since Ben turned 16 four years ago. That was when his dad bought him a brand new four door 4x4 truck for his birthday. Ben has met Joe and Tom before and you proudly introduce Karen as your girlfriend. Ben's dad is your mom's older brother and is very wealthy. He is snobbish (and kind of mean) to his three younger sisters and baby brother Jim. He is alright to you as you and Ben are close in age and have always got along. Ben is on Uncle Jim's insurance as he sometimes does video work for him at Johnson College and Woocott Institute athletic events.

He is about leave with the car and your buddies to find the house of the Green twins when you point out that your van is on blocks and you need something to drive. You all load into the car and go to Johnson City, home of Johnson College. You are driving with Karen sitting in the front middle and Ben is shotgun. Joe, Tom, and Bobby are in the back starting their pre-party drunk. You tell Bobby about Amber and he tells you he kind of guessed that and that he is over her-or will be after he gets a new girl or gets a good drunk at the party. After you drop the guys at Ben's truck (he got a ride to the earlier party from his now ex-girlfriend) you take back roads back to Green River City and drive slow and drink with Karen. Karen, still upset with Amber, drinks rather rapidly and you have to almost carry her into Jim's house.

You want to continue your seduction of Karen but as soon as you help her to the couch she falls asleep. You really want to fuck Karen but this may not be the right time. While you have rubbers and complete run of the house, you decide to wait until a time when she is able to be more of a participant. You pick her up, cradling her like you would a small child and take her to the guest room. After laying her on the double bed, you remove her shoes and leave a lamp on so she can see her way around the strange room if you fall asleep too. Just down the hall from the guest room you sit on the couch playing on your laptop computer.

Around four in the morning Karen wakes up and calls out to you. She says she is sorry she crashed on you like that and really respects you for not taking advantage of her. After she is fully awake, and after insisting on fixing her makeup, she makes out with you until she has to sneak back home. You give her a ride and she gets out of your uncle's car three houses down from her mom's house. You then go back to your uncle's house to get some sleep before the sun is fully up. As you fall asleep you wonder...
