You accept them

"I guess I could. I mean, I'm laying here with a womb full of Arthur's sperm. I know I love Arthur and James, but I've never been with another woman before" You say, being honest with all of them.

"Well, it's not like I didn't give you that chance in college when we were roommates. Remember the nights we played strip poker? Remember how I used to laze around in my underwear, or always find a way to be naked in front of you?" Nicole says. "I've always been interested in you. I've always wanted you. I've always loved you." She gently and tenderly caresses your face. "I love you, Katherine, and I can't deny it any more."

"You mean all this time you were only trying to get me to notice you?" you ask. "I always took everything the wrong way. I thought you were flaunting yourself in front of me, like you thought you were better than me."

Nicole laughs. "No, honey. I'm no better than you. Maybe a little more endowed in certain aspects, but never better than you. I love you Katherine.and I always have since our earliest days. I didn't want to chase you away from me by coming out and telling you how I felt about you. I was never sure how you would react. Can you ever forgive me for my lack of courage?"

You've always felt strangely close to Nicole in ways you couldn't understand. Now the flood gates have opened, and you finally understand.
