"You're on! I look forward to your inevitable self-destruction."
She simply smirks, like a cat who got the cream, and walks away. Hopefully she'll be getting the cream she deserves soon enough.
Resting your forehead in your hand, you wonder what the hell you've just gotten yourself into. You plonk yourself back on your barstool... and then remember that the guy you were flirting with is still here, when he slides a drink in front of you.
"You okay?" he asks. "After watching that, I'm kinda glad I got away from that psycho, honestly. Dodged one heck of a bullet!"
"Heh, right?"
