Chapter 15 by zenxraider zenxraider

What's next?

You've captured a Jedi of the Light. Why not one of the Dark?

As you leave Barriss to stew in her own uncertainties, you set your sights on future endeavors with a new world to visit already in mind as you follow a strong presence in the ****. In a flash of the moment, you vanish from the Star Forge and travel to the mountainous, worn-torn Outer Rim planet of Rattatak.

You find yourself in a large tunnel made of stone and lit by old fashioned torches. Unperturbed by your surroundings, you march forward as you hear the din of battle as well as the angry hums of lightsabers and a roaring crowd. Smirking, you don your hood and helmet, ready to meet your next conquest. At last you reach the end of the tunnel as it opens up to a massive stone arena filled with all manner of grotesque beasts and aliens from different worlds, but there was only one alien that truly held your attention; a Dathomiri woman wielding a pair of crimson lightsabers.

A/N: Art by Ching Ba.

Asajj Ventress, daughter of a witch belonging to the coven of the powerful sorceress Mother Talzin, had grown strong in the Dark Side since the **** of her impromptu Jedi Master Ky Narec, though you wonder how she had come to acquire the blood red blades clenched in her hands. As you recall, her red sabers were a gift from Count Dooku in both continuities and as far as you knew, the pair had yet to meet. Filing away this curious oddity for later, you watch with great interest as Asajj viciously cuts down her opponents, first bisecting a Gamorrean with a crude warhammer, then using **** Crush on a tall wardroid with wrist mounted flamethrowers. Lastly, she vaulted with grace and precision between the floundering swings of a giant, bestial alien wielding a slab of granite with a chain nailed into its side for grip. The alien fell as Asajj ran up his back and took off his head with a scissor cut from her lightsabers. She flipped gracefully to the ground as its body toppled over, leaving the two of you as the remaining combatants in the so-called Cauldron, the arena now falling silent as its spectators eagerly awaited a duel with baited breath.

"Impressive," you praise her as you clap your hands. "Most impressive. I can feel the **** flows strongly within you."

She eyes you with scrutiny then crosses her arms across her chest, framing her body with her blades. She gives you a respectful bow.

"The Dark Side is strong in me, for I am Sith," she declares.

You can't help but laugh as she recited the line from the cartoon perfectly, though you are immensely pleased that her voice has a much more sensuous, smokey undertone that sends goosebumps across your skin. Her icy blue eyes narrow as you approach her and you couldn't help yourself but continue Dooku's lines in the script.

"You wear the trappings of the Sith, you fight like a Sith, but this can all be imitated. You lack a vital quality found in all Sith, for the Sith feel no fear and I can sense great fear in you."

You feel that fear be overtaken by a surge of anger at your taunt.

"You know nothing of the Dark Side if you seek to hide yourself behind a mask!" she spits at you with venom.

"Indeed," you answer with a dark chuckle.

Just like in the cartoon, she ignites her lightsabers and charges you but unlike Dooku who incapacitated her with **** Lightning, you decide to give the audience a little show as you ignite your own, red blade to intercept hers. They crash together with a furious crackle as she presses all of her body weight into your block. She does possess greater strength than you anticipated, but it's clear she wasn't built for brute ****.

Spinning out from underneath her, you tap her on the back of her shaved head with the hilt of your lightsaber, mocking her as you easily pick out a hole in her defenses. She lashes out at you once more in a furious barrage of strikes, seeking to put pressure on you with her well trained speed and agility, yet you took this in stride. You evade and parry with the skill of a Jedi Weaponmaster of old, effortlessly intercepting each and every last one of her swings from angles that would bend a normal human's spine beyond the snapping point. You develop a newfound appreciation for the Soresu style that Obi-wan had strove to master as the continued stalemate was quickly wearing down your opponent's stamina.

Beads of sweat form on the Dathomiri Dark Jedi's brow as she spins and vaults around you in a complex display, **** to find a weak-point in your defense. Her chest, bound by wrappings to compress her breasts, heaves heavily with every breath. With every passing moment, her movements are beset by lethargy and there's a clear downturn in power behind her swings. You couldn't help but taunt her a second time.

"If you were truly Sith, wouldn't this contest already be over?"

She growls angrily at you, easily taking the bait and letting her form grow sloppy. Much of the finesse she fought with at the start of your duel had disappeared, replaced by a flailing more suited for a child with a pair of sticks. As a lunging, blatantly advertised swing leaves her entire front open for attack, you rush forward within her guard and drive your knee into her stomach, forcing the wind from her lungs.

She doubles over in shock and drops her lightsabers, the twin blades switching off as they hit the stone floor. Falling to her knees, the Dark Jedi gasps for breath as her muscles twitch in pain from overexertion. Asajj gazes up into the thin gap in your mask as she searches for your eyes, and you can see both acceptance and even a hint sorrow in those ice blue orbs as you hold your blade to her neck.

"Finish it then," she says in defeat. "I have failed."

You cock your head in amusement and deactivate your lightsaber much to her confusion.

"On the contrary Asajj Ventress, you've passed the test."

The pair of you vanish from sight in the center of the Cauldron, with only the bewildered mutterings and disappointed jeers from the audience marking your departure.

Where do you take her?
