You're rich!

Sunlight trickles in through a hole in the cavern roof. At first you think the walls glow because they're wet, but in fact they're gritty to the touch. You examine the dust on your fingertips. It glints yellow.

“Manda?” She dog paddles over to you, the gold dust in the water swirling in thick clouds. “I think we're rich.”

“We're rich,” she repeats, dumbfounded. “We're rich!” Her laughter echoes in the chamber.

You swim to an outcropping and haul yourself onto it, Manda right behind you. Together you gaze up at the open roof. The sunlight paints every surface with its warm golden color: the water, the rocks, the gold (obviously). Hell, in the corner of your eye you see gold freckles on Manda's chest over her black strapless bra. You're reminded of those fancy restaurants that sprinkle gold dust over your food like parmesan cheese.

“So... wow.” Manda's head is still craned back, so you're safe to look at her directly. She's covered in the dust. Looking down, you realize you are, too. “So. An apartment in Rio. A private jet to get there. What're you gonna do with the money?”

"Think I might buy that bra off you before you go.”

Her face is impassive. Bears slide back to your second-biggest fear, but she grins again when you flinch. “That's gonna be half your share, buddy.”
