You're Alive!

You slowly sat up, stretching everything above your waist. "Man, I feel stiff..." you groan.

"Puddin'!!" Harley got up and actually squeezed you as tight as she could, making your groans more audible.

"Easy, easy, easy!" you complain. Harley quickly released you.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she whimpered.

"It's all right," you reassured. "Appreciate the love." You looked around, and even looked down at yourself. "What did I miss?" you asked a bit incredulously. Harley gave you the skinny on what happened such as who came, who spoke kind words, and all of the farewell roses that the pastor collected and put in a vase. You smiled at seeing how so many people cared enough to leave tokens of affection.

"I should let the League know about this..." you said softly. The reason why you sounded dismayed was that you were afraid someone would think you faked the whole **** experience.

"I have an idea," said Harleen. You raised an eyebrow about what she had up her sleeve, besides her arm...

The Watchtower was a bit tense and/or sad about what happened. The founding members held a secret council which the others knew nothing about. "From everything that Shining Knight, Vixen, and Supergirl told us," said Batman, "Luthor hasn't given up on his ambition."

"Just like with Galatea..." Superman murmured aloud.

"But they also told us," Diana pointed out, "how Shadow uncovered a plot to dismantle the Imp from inside of him."

"Yeah," smiled Flash. "Using our weaknesses against us and crashing the bots. That's like... Batman smart." He gestured to his friend as he mentioned his name.

"You said it best, Clark," Batman confirmed, "'He had the best of us within him.'" And things were almost wrapped up, with conjoined looks of dismay when a knock came upon their door.

"Bats? League buddies?" Batman got up, for he recognized Harley's particular speech. He opened the door, seeing her standing before him as she wore her doctor's coat and jester costume. With her hair redone into a bun.

"What is it?" he asked in his gruff tone of voice.

"I wanted to make a video in my Puddin's honor." She showed them her video camera and then snapped her fingers. "And we need our star." Flash goofily combed the top of his head and smiled at her.

"Ready for my closeup."

"Not you, Speedy. Our real star." She gestured to down the hall as footsteps grew appropriately louder as someone approached. They all saw him in the doorway, gasping with wide eyes as Batman stepped away from the real star: you.

"Am I late...?" you smile sheepishly.
