Kim sat for several minutes looking at the shining metal hoop and leather strap that lay near her. She wasn’t sure if she Shego was trying to terrorize her into submitting to her and Ron or if she really was trying to be helpful. A helpful Shego seemed unlikely but even she had her limits when it came to evil. Maybe some little spark maternal, feminist or simply human compassion was driving Shego to help Kim get out of her icy prison.

As the ten minutes quickly drew to a close Kim decided whether Shego really was being kind or not didn’t matter as she couldn’t remain in the cell any longer. Kim reached out from under the comforter, grabbed the cold steel circle, put it around her neck and closed the clasp.

The metal was cold from being in the room and was only an inch bigger then Kim’s neck so it was nearly impossible to keep a large part of the ring from touching her sensitive skin. Without warning the ring was no longer cold, in fact it felt as if it was burning the front of her neck.

“AHHH!” Kim screamed. Her scream reduced to a panting as the pain and the heat slowly cooled.

“What the hell was that?” Kim wondered out loud as she tried to remove the collar to investigate the strange sensation. Kim began to panic when she found that it was the clasp that was still warm and no matter how hard she tried to clasp would no longer open. Kim realized the clasp must have melted itself shut once she sealed it, a cruel trick by either Ron or one of his minions to ensure she would never be free again.

“I see you decided to cooperate Kimmy.” Shego says with a pleased tone after sliding open the slat and seeing Kim with the collar around her neck, “I trust you’ve already figured out it won’t come off anymore. I wouldn’t try to **** it either as Wade used some of Doctor D’s obliteration cords for the center of the ring. If you thought the burning clasp was bad just image the fun you’d have if the whole ring ignited! Now, come up to the window Kimmy and give Mistress Shego your new leash.”
