James opened the door after several hard knocks made him jump. He wasn't ready to see Sally there...even less ready to see her obviously passed out and drunk draped over her childhood friend.

"...Franny?"

The red head barged in without asking. She dumped Sally on the couch as she spoke. "James, this has been probably the craziest night of my life. Sally came over all pissed off and conflicted over what happened-"

James froze. "What happened?", he echoed trying to feign confusion. Sally couldn't have told her the truth, right?

"James. I'm not here to judge. Okay? Yes you're weird and whatever but you two look out for each other. We went to a bar because I thought, like an idiot, if she got a good lay from someone else maybe she'd be able to move on faster. But she got totally shit-faced and almost gang **** in a bathroom and I don't know if one of those guys followed me so please let us stay here tonight? I don't want to go home, if he follows me he knows where I live."

James blinked. "I...yeah...I'm gonna...go to my room and...process."

"Great, ok...thank you. I'll keep Sally from freaking too hard in the morning...maybe if I take her car she'll sit here and talk to you."

"Franny, she's not gonna talk through this till she's ready-"

"And she won't ever be, not with you, so she needs a push."

James stood there, fidgeting. Maybe she was right. Does that make it okay to trap Sally there to talk about it? What would Fran do now that she knew? Did she know about Aurora?

"So...how much did she...?"

Fran sighed, "She told me you and whatever other girl was here got into a threesome after drinking waaaaay too much. Maybe don't invite that other girl over again. I don't know how it happened but you two have been drunk around each other before, so she had to be the instigator."

James stopped himself from sighing in relief. Best to go along with that story. "I...guess maybe? It's all a huge hazy blur..."

"Well, you'll find out more in the morning then. Just...don't come out until you hear her stop screaming and after I leave...I love her, you know. She's my sister, too."

James nodded. He didn't know why he hugged her, but he did. "Thanks, Franny. I think...I'd lose my sister without you."

"Damn right.", she hugged him back. "Take me on a date some time to make it up to me."

"You still...?"

Fran snorted, and slapped his arm. "Yeah. Your comment on halloween didn't stop you from being cute, you know."

He bit his lip. "Well...you know I like circuit parts..."

Fran shook her head. "You need a flirting teacher, James...ask that other girl for pointers...and if she doesn't snatch you up, give me a call. Now go to bed.", she emphasized her demand by pushing him to his room. He resisted playfully for a moment before obediently laying down.

As his head hit his pillow, he found himself unable to sleep easy. His sister who he'd fucked in a **** induced haze had been about to bang three guys to try to forget...and now she slept on his couch with her childhood friend, who also confessed to wanting to date him, while also dropping the "talk about your accidental ****" bomb...and a suicidal alien asleep in his bath tub.

What more could possibly happen?
