Chapter 8 by alphakennyone alphakennyone

Continue?

Yes.

Eric is wide awake and knows how to follow a running soldier leading him someplace. He felt like when he tried running, trying to catch someone running from him in the first mission he did for his boss. His condition took ahold of him and when he awaken he was on the leather couch in his boss's office staring at the whole crime family. There he was scolded but pardoned. He was intrusted in doing the accounting for them and not getting his hands dirty from the hands-on work the capos and the wheelman did outside.

Eric followed the soldier to a bunker almost 5 blocks away near a control tower. Narcolepsy took its toll on Eric halfway to the site. His running slowed and he fell face first into the hard dusty ground. In his sleep he didn't feel pain and didn't show any when he woke up. The escort soldier saw the feat and tried scolding him in a low, but ear-deafening shout. No response. Eric's narcolepsy gave him the misfortune of forgetting things when he was told of them, but gave him the benefit of not being blamed for eavesdropping on hearable conversations. The escort soldier scolded him again for his lack of attention and the ability to sleep during a lecture, but it prove to be worthless to do so.

The escort soldier took him five minutes to give up on the recruit but he didn't give up on his mission. He took Eric and placed his limp and short body on his shoulders military style. He ran the rest of the way to the bunker and into a hospital kind of room.

Eric's deep sleep gave every technician and nurse the benefit of a anesthesia. Eric couldn't feel any pain and his demeanor was like a little boy in bed, tucked in for the night. Many people came in and out of the room he was in. Eric lay on a medical bed and had many test done on him. When he awoke he would be very surprised.

What happen when he awakes?
