After a few hours, you arrive in Pewter City. The journey through the forest wasn't nearly as bad as you were expecting. Pikachu's electric blasts did wonders to keep the bugs at bay, and you even took part in a few battles, allowing Bulbasaur to become that much more powerful and experienced.

It's getting dark when you arrive in the historic city, so you head to the Pokémon Center. Healing up your two companions, you then spend the night in the building's free Trainer accommodation.

Waking and feeling refreshed, you get a shower, then head out into the city. There's plenty to do. You could visit the museum, try your luck against Brock at the Gym, stock up on supplies at the Pokémart, or just head straight for Cerulean City, via Mt. Moon.
