Red left her cottage just as down was
breaking. It would be a long day of walking to get to her grandmothers house. Just before Midday a stranger approached her on
the path.

Though he was quite handsome in a scruffy kind way, her mother had always taught her to be wary of strangers.

"Well now" the Stranger said, looting her up
and down. "It's not often I see such a
pretty girl on the paths."

The look he gave her made her blush and she didn't quite know why.

"I'm going to my grandmothers" She
replied trustingly "she lives just beyond the hills.
"Oh?" His grin grew "That's still hours
away on the main path. I'll tell you what,
I know a short out that will cut you're time in half. Just come with me.
