"Well, alright," Krista agreed. "Just this once though. I can't be bailing you out of relationships all the time."

"Thanks sis, you're the best!" shouted Ashley as she ran out the door to go to her exam. "I'm meeting him on the bike trail near the woods!"

"Got it," Krista mumbled.

Packing a backpack with bottled water and an extra sweater in case it got chilly, Krista headed out the door to meet Joshua. As she walked towards the meeting spot, she wondered what she was getting herself in to.

"Hey, I almost thought you weren't coming!"

Joshua's shout startled Krista from her thoughts.

Summoning her best Ashley impression, Krista bubbled, "No, I wouldn't miss this for the world!"

Grinning widely, Joshua gave Krista a peck on the cheek. "Good," he said. "Let's get going."

They hiked together deep into the woods, talking about many things. Krista had to admit that despite his lack of refinement, Joshua was rather charming. Ashley was a lucky girl. The two emerged into a clearing and looked up at the sky.

"Wow, I didn't realize it was so late," Joshua said, noticing the setting sun.

"How did that happen?" Krista asked, alarmed. It had been early afternoon when they left.

"Time sure flies when you're having fun," Josh responded, smiling.

Krista found herself grinning too, then laughing. "What are we gonna do?"

"Well, we can't walk back at this hour," Joshua said decisively. "It wouldn't be safe."

After contemplating for a few moments, he turned to Krista and asked, "Have you ever been camping before?"
