Chapter 10
by Suckersoprano
Does he attempt to escape?
Yes.
Dago wasn’t going to hesitate anymore. He didn’t know what the fuck was going on and he needed to find out or get as far away from this situation as possible. Not to mention he had to find Natalie and apologize for getting conked in the head at the worst possible moment. Considering how he had been treated, he could only hope she was still alive.
Dago tested the integrity of the handcuffs and cried out in pain. Fuck, he forgot silver burned. Thankfully, they seemed to be pure silver, which was much more painful, but a lot weaker. Dago shut his eyes and took a deep breath before ripping the cuffs apart, making the chain break with a snap and a clatter of metal.
“Fuck!” Dago swore, looking at the silver rings that were now around his wrists.
They had burnt neat circles around his wrists, as well. How fucking trendy, he thought bitterly. He cautiously touched the glass box at the end of the truck and found that it didn’t hurt him at least. He quickly picked it up and chucked it through the door of the truck, tearing through the weak metal and brightening up the back of the truck considerably. Thankfully, it seemed to be dark enough where Dago didn’t have to worry about being turned into ash. He launched himself out of the truck and stumbled to a stop right before the pile of shattered, blackened glass that he guessed was the glass box before he used it as a projectile.
The truck didn’t seem to notice that Dago had made a big mess out of the door, or had escaped at all. That was good, as he watched it barrel down the dirt road. He looked around. He could follow the truck or he could go back.
Does he follow the truck?
