The cop sauntered up. "Running a stop sign is serious offense," she said.

"I'm sorry, officer," Kimberly replied.

"You're going to get hit with a heavy fine. Maybe lose your license. Or you could get community service."

"That would be better," Kimberly said. "I don't have a lot of money right now."

"Well, the officer said, stroking her chin, "I hate to tie up the court... I could just assign you community service myself, skip the ticket... better for your insurance that way."

"That sounds fair," agreed Kimberly. "What kind of community service?"

"Well, seeing as I represent the community... you can service me." The cop reached through the window and yanked Kim forward by the collar, kissing her roughly. "Get out of the car," she growled after she let Kim up for air.

Kim was thrilled -- the ring did work! Some of the time, at least. She'd try to figure out later what was different about this situation. Still, this was awfully public... that was exciting, but also dangerous. "Won't we be seen if we do this out here?" she asked.
