"three kids." Jessie said.

"What?" Patty asked, confused.

"You get me pregnant three times." she told him "Three times in, say, six years. or if I happen to have twins, twice..."

"Why should I do that?" Patty demanded "You trying to pin me to you? Next you'll expect me to take care of them..."

"I am throwing my life away because of you..." She yelled "I get to decide the terms."

"You're throwing your life away because of you. I don't think your mom and dad are that old fhasioned... why did they allow me to be friends with you then? or... You made that up, didn't you?"

"When's the last time you saw my parents?"

"Well... I..." Patty began before he realized he hadn't seen them in a while.

"my cousins are all older than me and have kids and my parents are getting jealous. I'm an only child. Alright... You want proof, here..."

She tossed him his cell phone.

"I turned off the service, so don't try to call anyone. just read the texts"

Patty opened her messages app

"From Mom & Dad: 'The Coopers from the Country club have a son your age, maybe we should set you up with him?"

He scrolled down "Your cousin Matthew and his wife are expecting again... when are you gonna give us a grandbaby?"

he went further

"Patty is such a nice boy, take him to dinner, try to see if he likes you... Be a woman for once in your life."

"Holy Toledo..." Patty muttered.

He took a deep breath.

"What?"

"Four kids... But... Billy and I keep the second born to raise together." Patty said.

Jessie shifted in her seat.

"... fine..." She said. She got off the highway and headed down a side road.

"Where are we going now? We had an agreement."

"Yeah... we did... And you're holding up your end of the bargin first..." Jessie said. "I'll turn myself in... once I'm pregnant."
