Seeing that you have nothing much to lose, you quickly agree to your dad's suggestion, "Sure. Why not? What do I have to lose."

Your dad smiles back at you, "You won't regret this!"

He then quickly grabs his phone and makes a call. You leave the room to give him some privacy.

A few minutes later, he comes out of his study with a large grin on his face.

"Great news! Ross is very interested. He hasn't found the time to date given his busy school schedule so he's happy to at least meet and see how things go from there. He suggests that you meet him at the Italian restaurant in town tonight," explains your dad.

You're surprisingly low-key excited about this and quickly head into your room to prepare and change into date clothes.
