Yes, she thankfully calls it a night.

“Really?” Ashley’s eyes beam at your suggestion, then concern that you are playing with her causes her to ask, “You are serious, right?”

With a nod of your head Ashley knows you are serious. “Thank you, thank you so much!” She exclaims, surprised and greatly pleased with your kindness. “Don’t worry, I promise that I will tell the partners tomorrow that you are the best lawyer for the job.”

As you both put your clothing back on Ashley’s whole demeanor completely changes. She looks at you in a new light; a softness, even kindness, comes across her eyes as she chats with you.

As you leave Ashley wishes you a good night, thanks you again and gives you a quick kiss on the cheek. You leave in silence, not sure what happened and then a big smile comes across your face.

The next morning, true to her word, Ashley speaks to the partners and you are put on the casino case. Even more pleasing, Ashley not only is happy you received the position, but even starts to be nice to you. In fact, you think she might be even flirting with you. It takes a week for you to get use to this radical change, but you like it!

Ashley, clearly has the hots for you and you decide to ask her out; but that is a story for another time.
