Yes, she charges at President Snow.

Through a gap in President Snow's arm, you see Katniss rise from her seat, hands clenched into fists. You see your blue eyes mirrored in hers, and know that your strong willed and stubborn friend was struggling not to come over and beat the President up. After all, she has always been your protector from overly interested men. She has helped you many a time when your food supplies has gone low, and provided you with necessities when the alternative was visiting the perverted District Chief to sell your body to him for food. You are sure that the Chief would have welcomed you with open arms and that would have been a real possibility had Katniss not helped you.

However, you know that if she comes over and does anything foolish that would free you, a lot of families would be in trouble. Peeta, Gale and her family would most likely be taken away and sent to the Capitol to become Avoxes. You shake your head as much as you can, seeing as you are still pressed into President Snow. You hope she would understand your unspoken plea, but when she lets out a cry of fury and charges towards the President, you know she has not.

You close your eyes, bracing for the impact of her hitting the President, who still had his arms wrapped around you. However, nothing happened. Out of curiousity, you open them, and discover that Katniss was suspended in the air. It must have been a cruel new device from the Capitol that immobilizes people, specially designed for the Arena. Of course the President, who oversees the Reaping every year, the guy who authorised the **** of 25 children by other children for the entertainment for the citizens of the Capitol, will have it.

He releases you, and stalks towards Katniss, viciously slapping her and leaving a red handprint on her ivory skin. You flinch, but to her credit, Katniss does not. He leans over to whisper something in her ear which makes her misty grey eyes widen.

"No," She whispers, and hangs her head. President Snow crosses the room in a few strides and grabs you roughly. He smashes his lips into yours, taking advantage of the fact that your lips were parted while gaping at the turn of events and he shoves his tongue in your mouth. You retreat, but he follows and your back hits the wall. Beating your hands against his chest seems to have no effect on the President, and he continues ravishing your mouth. You consider kneeing him in the groin, but decide against it as that is a sure fire way of rousing his anger.

"No! Stop it!" You hear Katniss call out "Stop it!"

Abruptly, he stops his invasion of your mouth and pulls away. Your legs wobble unsteadily before giving out on you, causing you to sink down to the floor. Your hand reaches up to your lips, still feeling the President's mouth on yours, and unconsciously a tear escapes from your eyes. This is not how you planned your first kiss to be.

President Snow laughs. "So now you will agree to the terms?" He asks Katniss.

Katniss mouths "I'm so sorry Elizabeth" to you before shaking her head no.

"Well, then, I'll be glad to carry out my threat then. Make sure she is ready in a weeks time." You puzzle over his words before he grabs you to roughly kiss you, and storms out of the room.

Katniss falls in a heap on the floor, sobbing.

"What are you so sorry about?" You ask her. She looks up at you with teary big eyes before answering.

"I'm so sorry Elizabeth, I really am, but I couldn't let all our work go down the drain. President Snow... I didn't agree to stop the rebellion, and he wants... ."
