Yes, but just barely

With all your might you charge by the beast, just staying out it's grasp. But the creature's reflexes are just a bit too fast for you. It turns suddenly, swinging one scaly hand towards you. Those long arms have plenty of reach, and it's claws slash against your back, tearing open your already tiny outfit and sending a stream of blood splashing against the wall.

You cry out in agony, but carry onward, leaping from your feet headfirst into the haze-filled corridor beyond. Without a moment to spare, you reach up to slam the button that seals off the door, right before the monstrous thing bashes into it with a resounding metal thud. Relishing your small victory, you try to catch your breath. You're safe, for the moment.

But your back still radiates with pain, and you have to wonder if the alien's claws are venomous. What if you need first aid? With a weary sigh, you rise to your feet once more. If only you could find a map! You've only been on the station for a few weeks, you don't have the entire layout memorized just yet, and this area doesn't seem familiar. Looking around, you try to get your bearings, at least you seem to be alone, for now.
