Chapter 12 by SpiralFelix SpiralFelix

Do the employees give Mackenzie anything?

Yes, a robe and a ride home

"I hope you've learned a lesson about keeping a better eye on your belongings," the receptionist said as she pulled Mackenzie to her feet and began ushering her towards the front door.

"Wait, please!" Mackenzie begged, growing more **** by the second. "Can I borrow a robe? A towel?!" Her bare feet found no purchase on the smooth tiles as she was shoved closer and closer to the glass doors at the front of the building.

"Sorry, we don't let customers take company property home with them!" she said with a faux-cheery tone. The employee opened the door.

"What's going on here?" a woman's voice called out from nearby. The receptionist froze in her tracks, about to shove Mackenzie outside.

"Please don't throw me out!" Mackenzie cried, turning towards the other woman. She appeared to be an employee too.

"What on earth?! We would NEVER throw you out in such a state!" The woman hurried over and Mackenzie was glad to see the rude receptionist shying away.

"Well, I'm, uh, gonna go clock out for the day!" she said, trying her best to avoid the woman's glare as she shuffled away.

"You do that, Megan," the woman said in a very stern tone. "And make sure you get in a few minutes early tomorrow. You and I need to have a serious talk about your future here." The receptionist gulped audibly. "Now go." She obliged.

"I'm so sorry about that!" the woman said, turning back to Mackenzie. "My name's Samantha, I'm the spa's manager. You're the one who had your things misplaced, Mackenzie right?"

Mackenzie nodded, still feebly covering her nude body as best she could with just her hands.

"Here let me get you a robe," the sandy-haired woman said, taking a few moments to grab one from a nearby room and handing it to an immensely grateful Mackenzie. "I am so SO sorry about what you've been through today!" she said as Mackenzie eagerly pulled the fluffy fabric on. It was a bit short, only coming down to Mackenzie's mid-thigh, but the redhead didn't mind. "I was busy in the back doing paperwork most of the day and had no idea you were sitting out here like that!"

"That receptionist told me you were too backed up on laundry to spare any robes or towels," Mackenzie griped.

"Ugh," Samantha groaned. "It's true, we were really backed up today, but we surely could've spared a robe for you!" Mackenzie smiled. Finally, someone at this damn spa was actually helping her! "Between you and me," the manager said, "she's not going to be having that position for much longer. What she did today was completely unacceptable. Not to mention what she seemed like she was about to do to you now!"

Mackenzie shuddered at the thought of being thrown out into the night with absolutely nothing to her name. But she took a bit of comfort in the fact that Megan would soon be fired, at least.

"Here, let me give you a ride home!" Samantha said, holding up her keys. "It's the least I can do for you after everything you've been through."

"I'll gladly take you up on that," Mackenzie said with a smile.

How does their ride go?
