Laura Kinney's eyes snapped open as she awoke from her sleep. She never woke up slowly. She simply wasn't trained to. Born in a lab, created from Wolverine's genes as a female version to replace him (the Y-chromosome was fucked up, apparently. Wouldn't work), she was the twenty third attempt and the only successful on, earning her the code name of X-23. Indeed, for a time, that was the only name she had.

Her roommate, Dust, still slumbering, she slipped from the room. After a brief bit of morning excericse, she'd shower and go about her day as normal. Well, normal for her. She may attempt to bond with the other team members...or she might not. It depended on her mood.
