As the two of you basked in the afterglow together, you tell Qing with a small frown, "I couldn't sleep because I had a nightmare of myself getting executed by Jia Chong."

"You did?" Qing asked with a look of surprise.

"Yes. But...I won't have another nightmare now that you're here with me. In fact, we will fight together to rebel against Sima Zhao once and for all." you reply with a smile.

"Dan..." Qing said before you wrapped your arms around her and held her close before giving her a chaste kiss. The two of you immediately fell asleep in each others' arms.

The day Zhuge Dan led a rebellion against Sima Zhao, he knew he wasn't the only one: Yan Qing, the Sima family's faithful servant, ended up siding with the man she loved. The day after their first night together, and before the rebellion, they eventually escaped the castle grounds of the Sima family, and became traitors to Jin dynasty Wei.

Qing began appreciating the eyes she was born with, but became concerned of the thought of killing her own sister, Yan Rui. When the rebellion began, she no longer hid her right eye.

In a surprising turn of events, Dan began to gain the upper hand slowly and decisively, and it was only a matter of time before Zhao was eventually defeated. To Qing's surprise, Zhong Hui apologized for his name-calling and teasing towards her, and complimented her eyes for the first time. She and Rui also reconciled and spared her life in the process. Finally, Jia Chong backed down and allowed her to pursue her own love life.

As the rebellion became a success, Dan kept his word to Qing and married her, honoring Zhuge Liang and his family.
