Working for Jess

Mark would never know what he had missed out on that night but it didn’t bother him too much considering what he had already achieved with the girls at college this year.

The next morning, he started off the day getting some studying in before Jess was once again texting him and Cassidy. She had a few tasks for them to complete in order to make her life a little easier. This consisted of another basket of laundry, picking up some supplies for her, ordering dinner and actually attend one of her lectures to take notes so she could chill with friends.

Cassidy was at the end of her rope with Jess, tired of playing her little games. To save her from giving it all up and just telling Matt the truth, Mark decided to let her have the day off on Friday and instead, take up more of the workload.

There was another morning class on Friday where he sat in a lecture of Jess’s instead of attending his own class. He took notes of things that was going straight over his head.

Later in the day, she let him use her laptop with her supervision to email off two reports that she wanted him to go and print out.

It wasn’t even a difficult task for her to do but apparently she had a lunch date with a friend off campus. She raced off to make it in time as Mark went down to the East Hall office to get her reports printed.

It was a nice surprise for Mark to see that Tiffany was inside printing something herself. As an RA for East Hall, she did end up doing a fair bit of work from this office.

“Hey Mark! What you up to?” she said as he appeared at the open door.

“Hey Tiffany, just had a couple of things to print off,” he replied.

She looked beautiful as usual, even in the casual clothes that she currently had on. “I’ll only be a second more, just finishing up these last couple of pages,” she said, “Are you excited about tomorrow?”

Tomorrow? Mark knew it was a Saturday but didn’t have any idea what was happening to be excited for. “What’s tomorrow?” he asked unsure.

“The big carnival we’re putting on here in campus to celebrate our Hall tournament,” Tiffany explained, “It’ll be great, the board approved it so we’ll have a Ferris wheel, dodgem cars, arcade games and food trucks.”

It sounded pretty cool, it would also be nice to finally know who won the Hall tournament.

“Oh that’s awesome, are we a chance to win this year?” Mark asked.

Tiffany’s last pages came out of the printer, she scooped them all up, “You know what, I think we are. I’m really impressed with how much money you won for us as well by the way,” she praised him.

A praise from the beautiful Tiffany was as good as you can get here. “You’ll have to come and find me tomorrow, we’ll have a drink together,” she said before exiting the office, letting Mark print out the reports from Jess.

Mark took his time printing off Jess’s report writings, he couldn’t help but feel bitter sweet about an offer to drink with Tiffany tomorrow. Of course it would be nice but it was like another reminder of what he couldn’t have.

Tiffany and her boyfriend Travis were doing so well together at this stage and it was hard to see them every truly breaking up, not in the foreseeable further anyways.

As he was waiting for the last piece of paper to come out of the printer, Mark started reading a few sentences of her work.

The complexity of the words and phrases seemed to be too difficult to understand. Either Jess was actually extremely intelligent or she was cheating and using google or Wikipedia to write her piece. It wasn’t really a question that he was prepared to ask her so he just ignored it and finished the printing.

With Jess out at lunch and it being a Friday Night, Mark expected that to be it for the day in terms of being her personal ****.

Jess didn’t see it the same way. At 10pm that night she came calling again.
