Work

It may not be fun, but it keeps the lights on. Kya opens up her work documents and begins proofreading and correcting her paperwork. She was lucky, when she was 16 her father, Al, got her an internship at an executive branch help ran by his brother and her uncle, Jay.

Jay was an assistant VP with the company, and kept an eye out for young Kya. Being only in his mid 40s, he wasn't a typical uncle figure to Kya, and she found it extremely easy to get along with him. She started with grunt work, and worked hard at every opportunity she had and every chance she was given, she excelled. It was just after her 18th birthday that she was given her own cubby and new job title, a responsibility she was ready for. She would report straight to Jay. She was proud of herself.

As time passed, she found herself more conscious of what her Uncle thought of her. His approval became almost necessary for her, and she had the perseverance to make sure she does the best job she can. For whatever reason, she could not let her uncle down.

As Kya finished up the proofreading on her work, she breathed a heavy sigh of relief. Weekends became like a sanctuary to Kya, letting her escape from the chaos, even for a few days.

Kya looks at the clock on the bottom left of the screen, it reads 2:44 AM. "I'm not tired, not yet." She thought. "But I should try to **** myself, I don't think I will be able to work on this much longer."
