Work at the bar

Even though your goal today wasn't exactly to find a job, you aren't disappointed either. You wanted to look for a small job to earn some money while you study anyway. You can't help but be a little cautious though - this is a strip club afterall. "What would my tasks be as a barmaid?" John laughs. "Make drinks, what else did you think? On normal business days we only have one barmaid here and customers come to the bar to get their drinks. During events - so once a week - we usually also have a few waitresses. Then you might have to go around and take orders and bring people their drinks, but that's it. If you want to do a little...extra work, you're allowed to do so, but I'll get a cut. We also have fixed rates for that, but we can discuss these details another time."

"And clothing?" He grins. "Right on the spot, I like that! We have uniforms here, you just need black underwear and black shoes. We also have these here, but most girls prefer to bring their own. Hey, Susan!" He suddenly shouts across the hall where a woman with black hair looks up. She comes over. "Yes?" "You might get a new colleague and she wants to see the clothes she'd wear." She's wearing a fairly short dark red skirt and a black bandeau with the logo of the club in gold on the left side. John gestures Susan that she can leave before he adresses you again. "Happy?" You nod.

"Okay, before you can start working here, you'll have to take a course. Learn how to make proper cocktails and all that stuff." He hands you a business card. "That's a friend of mine, he does courses like these. Just go to the course on monday, I'll tell him that you'll come. It's three evenings total, so you'll be able to start the week after that - if everything goes smoothly. Your salary will be fairly low, but the tips are usually really generous around here, so you'll probably make some decent money. Any further questions...? Good, call me when you know when you'll be able to start, okay?" You nod as he hands you another business card and stands up. "Great, then excuse us please, we have some business to attend to." He and the store owner leave you in your chair.

You sit there for a moment trying to process everything that just happened, before you go home. For a moment you think about another try to get into a glory hole, but you decide that this was enough excitement for one day - even if it wasn't quite the kind you expected. Happy you stroll home. Not considering the location of the bar, this sounded like a great job.
