Wave of Erratic Behavior Continues, No Reason Yet Found

Monica clicked the headline and scanned the article as the annoying music continued to play over the phone. It reported on a disturbing trend over the last few days. All over the nation, and increasingly across the world, a small percentage of people had been observed exhibiting totally out of character behavior; and stranger still, they didn't seem to realize what they were doing was at all odd for them. Authorities weren't disclosing details, but according to the article, the vast majority of the people affected seemed to be women, ages 18 to 40. There didn't seem to be any other uniformity to the phenomenon, which was stymying attempts to discover what was happening, though there were plenty of theories starting to float around. So far, none of the people behaving strangely had proven to be a serious danger to themselves or others, so there was no action being officially taken yet, but in the interest of better tracking the cause of the effect, the CDC was requesting that anyone noticing strange behavior in themselves or others make an official report.

Monica furrowed her brow, confused. That wasn't exactly a whole lot of information - how, exactly, were people acting oddly? A quick glance at the comments revealed the usual array of crazies, assholes, and conspiracy theorists; "The government is unleashing gas to make everyone go nuts," "It's because you sheep have been wearing masks for a year," "Every affected woman has done something sexy, it's like they're in a porn story."

She sighed. With everything else to worry about in the world today, this didn't seem like that big a deal, really, but she supposed she'd keep an eye out for anyone making questionable decisions. Just then, the music from her phone cut off as the receptionist spoke up, and Monica excitedly grabbed the phone. Finally, she could start working on getting her huge fake tits!
