Chapter 5
by cloudengz
How does Bianca respond?
With some attitude.
Bianca's fingers hovered over the keyboard, her heart pounding as she typed, "What makes you think I am not appreciated?" The question lingered in her mind, a mix of defensiveness and curiosity driving her to ask. She couldn't help but wonder what Ethan saw in her that Robert might be missing. As she hit send, a wave of guilt washed over her, but the excitement of the secret conversation kept her anchored to the screen.
Ethan's message arrived, casting a shadow over Bianca's thoughts. "Your eyes in your stories seem a little sad," he wrote, the words echoing softly in her mind. She navigated to her profile, scrutinizing each photo. Some did capture moments of melancholy, but she had just been tired, nothing more. "What makes you think that was Robert?" she typed, her curiosity intertwining with a hint of defensiveness.
Ethan's smirk grew as he uncovered Robert's name. He swiftly located Robert's profile, poring over each post and photo. The connection between Bianca and Robert was undeniable, a digital trail of their relationship. Ethan's eyes narrowed, his mind weaving strategies to exploit this newfound information.
As Bianca sat in the dimly lit corner of the cafe, the aroma of coffee mingling with the faint scent of rain outside, she couldn't shake the feeling that her life was about to take a drastic turn. Ethan's words lingered in her mind like a shadow, casting doubt over her relationship with Robert. "Your eyes seem sad," he had written, and now she couldn't help but wonder if it was true. Was she really as unhappy as Ethan made her out to be? The thought gnawed at her, making her question every moment she had shared with Robert.
Ethan, on the other hand, was meticulously crafting his next move. He had uncovered Robert's profile and was now studying it with the intensity of a predator sizing up its prey. "Passive," he muttered to himself, his mind racing with ways to exploit this perceived weakness. He knew that women often complained about men being either too controlling or too indifferent, and he aimed to position himself as the perfect balance—attentive yet confident, supportive yet strong. His fingers flew across the keyboard as he typed out a response, each word carefully chosen to chip away at Bianca's resolve.
"You deserve so much more than someone who doesn't notice your sadness," he wrote, his tone dripping with empathy. "I'm not trying to come between you and Robert, but I want you to know that I see you, truly see you, in a way that others might not." The words were laced with sincerity, but beneath them lay a calculated intent—to erode her trust in Robert and build a bridge of dependency towards himself.
Bianca's heart raced as she read his message, her mind a whirlwind of emotions. She felt a pang of guilt for even considering Ethan's words, but a part of her couldn't deny the connection she felt. "Maybe he's right," she thought, her resolve weakening with each passing moment. "Maybe Robert isn't as attentive as he should be." The seed of doubt had been planted, and Ethan was ready to nurture it, knowing that once it took root, there would be no turning back.
Bianca's fingers trembled as she closed the chat with Chadknight69, her heart racing with a mix of guilt and anticipation. She quickly opened her messaging app and sent Robert a text, her thumbs flying across the screen. "Hey, I need you to come over. I'm feeling really down, and I could use your company," she wrote, trying to sound as **** as possible. She hoped this would prove to herself that Robert was indeed attentive, that he cared enough to drop everything for her. But as she waited for his response, a nagging voice in her head wondered if he would even notice the urgency in her message.
Minutes ticked by, and Bianca found herself glancing at the clock every few seconds. She had expected Robert to respond immediately, but the silence was deafening. Her anxiety grew with each passing moment, and she couldn't help but compare this to the instant responses she had been getting from Ethan. "Maybe he's busy," she told herself, trying to push away the doubt that had taken root in her mind.
Bianca's phone buzzed in her hand, the vibration startling her as she walked home under the dim glow of the streetlights. Ethan's message flashed on the screen: "Where did you go, you okay?" His words were laced with a concern that made her heart flutter, a stark contrast to Robert's silence. She frowned, her mind a whirlwind of emotions. Why was Ethan so worried about her while Robert remained absent? The thought stung, and she couldn't help but feel a surge of frustration mixed with sadness. She typed out a response, her thumbs hovering over the keyboard before she finally sent, "I'm walking home now babe, I want you." The words felt bold, but she hoped they would provoke a reaction from Robert, prove to herself that he still cared.
The minutes ticked by, each one stretching into an eternity as Bianca waited for a response. She walked faster, her feet pounding against the pavement as if trying to outrun the ache in her chest. The cool evening air whipped through her hair, but she barely noticed, her focus fixed on the screen in her hand. When the silence grew too heavy to bear, she stopped under a streetlamp, her breath visible in the chill of the night. She pulled up Robert's messages, her eyes scanning the conversation as if willing him to reply. But there was nothing—just her words hanging in the void.
Bianca sighed and reopened Ethan's messages, her fingers moving instinctively to respond. "Sorry. I had to do something," she typed, as she walked home under the dim glow of the streetlights. The weight of her unspoken emotions pressed heavily on her chest, and the silence from Robert only amplified her vulnerability. Ethan's response came almost immediately, his words wrapping around her like a warm embrace. "No worries, princess," he wrote, the term sending a flutter through her chest. It was endearing, yet oddly possessive, but she pushed the thought aside, focusing instead on the comfort his message brought.
Bianca's brows furrowed as she read the word "princess" again. It was a term she hadn't heard often, and it carried a strange mix of affection and control. She hesitated for a moment before typing her response, her thumbs hovering over the keyboard. "Princess?" she asked, her tone laced with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
Bianca couldn't help but laugh out loud at how bad of a flirting line that was, but at the same time, it was kind of cute. She rolled her eyes as she walked up the stairs of her apartment, the sound of her heels echoing in the quiet hallway. Pulling out her keys, she unlocked her apartment and stepped inside, the familiar comfort of her space wrapping around her like a blanket. She tossed her keys onto the counter and leaned against the door, her eyes still fixed on her phone screen.
Ethan's message had been cheesy, but there was something about the way he said it that made her feel special. "Every princess deserves a prince," he had written, and despite the cringe factor, it had sent a flutter through her chest. She couldn't deny the excitement she felt every time her phone buzzed with a message from him. It was a stark contrast to the silence from Robert, and she couldn't help but wonder if he even cared anymore.
Bianca sighed and set her phone down on the counter, trying to shake off the guilt that had been weighing on her. She knew she shouldn't be talking to Ethan, not really. But he was just so attentive, so charming, and it felt good to have someone pay attention to her. She walked over to the window and pulled back the curtain, staring out into the night.
Does Bianca respond any more?
