Lucy looked at Annie. The deck of the airship storeroom was cold on her feet.

"Oh, Annie, dear love," Lucy said. She held her daughter closely. "Always remember to care for your heart." Tomorrow the airship would alight. Annie would go off to finishing school with Sabrina Netherwood.
