What will you order Buffy to do first
With all that noise!
I had to think fast before her family showed up with this being a small house. I knew I had little time left. "You will say nothing of the plan you heard. You can move now but don't go out of this room."
I barely finished the sentence before Dawn showed up. "What's go!... going on."
I turned around just in time to see her confused face at our positions in bed. I immediately got up out of bed. Then proceeded to point at the dust pile on the floor.
Buffy on the other hand was still a little shocked at what happened. She laid in the bed a few moments after I got up. In that time frame I saw changes in Dawn's face first of course was shock. Followed by relief and worry at the same time, when her eyes shifted to the dust pile.
Buffy fulfilled the please me part I said earlier When she got out of bed she spoke to Dawn. "I had a feeling one of them was following us home. I waited in my room ready but it was a no show. I checked on you first, then his room. That's when I heard the thing talking to itself. Saying you can't speak in your sleep stuff and you're going to die soon type stuff. So I busted the door down for shock and wake up call. But it was about to lunge at the groggy guy here. I had little time to act. so I dove at the baddy in the direction of the bed just in time for sleepy head to yell at him. I didn't think about the other stake in my hand at the landing on the bed but he did. I think it was his instinct to protect himself. plus him being your guest made me not kick him off me."
Dawn was nodding her little head in understanding and her worry turned to straight relief. Then she hugged me and said "sorry"
I knew she was referring to the misunderstanding, but I said "With power comes enemies so there is nothing to say sorry for, okay."
She released me but not before kissing me lightly on the lips "Better call Giles for a fix it spell." she said then turned away and out the room.
Buffy ran to the door after her but only hung her head out of the frame "better call Willow instead unless you want a speech about magic," Buffy shouted.
I was about to say something till Buffy stopped at the door. Her muscles strained trying to move out of the room but she could only manage her head.
Buffy took it upon herself to put the door in place and fix what was left of the hinges. When done she turned to me as if she wanted to do more than stand there.
I on the other hand was utterly relieved that I can control the slayer. Now that there was a lull in what was going on it was time for us to think about our situation really.
Truly be the bad guy or throw the slayer a curve ball?
