Why would Mackenzie look down?

Mackenzie was dizzy and off balance from getting knocked over by the wave. She decided to run back to her towel and lie down for a bit. She started running back to shore in the water. The people on the beach are so nice to be still staring at me to make sure I'm okay, Mackenzie thought completely oblivious to the fact that her bikini got knocked off by the wave.
