Why not?

You take another look at the lean tech with a smile. She's probably a couple of years older than you with long straight black hair and although it's somewhat hidden under the long white lab coat, her white blouse and black skirt do seem to contain a rather nice figure. Not only that, but you've heard that Pokemon journeys are more fun with friends.

"Sure, why not." You tell her with a smile.

"Awesome!" The girl responds, instantly throwing her arms around your neck and pulling you close against her in a tight hug. "We are going to have so much fun!" She breaks away from you moving towards the labs front door. "My name is Lauren by the way."

You find you have to dash to keep up with the excited girl as the two of the exit the lab and into the bright morning sun over Pallet Town. "I think I still need to pick up a few bits from home." You tell her quickly as she almost marches towards the town outskirts.

"But I thought you really wanted to start your journey?" She asks, pointing ahead of her and you can see Route One leading out of town, tantalizingly close. "And all the other trainers have left already."
