Dr. Jackson looked a little pitying at you. "We had to reconstruct your whole face. Chin, cheeks, nose, even the eye sockets were comminuted. It all looked like somebody was very furious at you." You were shocked hearing that your whole face had to be reconstructed. "We also had to treat a few broken ribs, but compared to your face that was nothing."
"Could you ...?" You wanted to know if they could reconstruct your face.
"We did our best, but I can't guarantee you won't see some differences once the face mask comes off."
"I think you tried your best." You say still in shock.
"You have to stay here a few more days, but then you can go home." Dr. Jackson informed you after a little break. "After that you have at least one more month to recuperate, before we can take off the bandaged and face mask. During that time you are not allowed to work. But don't worry, the time will be counted for the internship and you will get paid for it."
"Ok..." You didn't needed all that information at the moment.
"I informed your mother and sister. They should be here in some time." Amanda said with a smile.
"Thanks." You thanked her with, what you thought, a little smile under the face mask.
"I'll come back later to check on you." Amanda blinked one of her eyes and left with Dr. Jackson the room.
