Human Turn?
White: King e1 -- c1 *Castle; Queen's Rook*
Colonel Scarlett would take a few moments to focus and breathe. Focus and hone her rage. The redhead would do a very, very quick breathing exercise. "Formation. Infantry, cycle in groups. Make sure another squad has visual on you and can cover you. No more than a hundred meters from next group. Don't spread out your fireteams. Jumpjet teams, get to high ground. When we see something, get ready to deploy and cover the area. We'll have you jump in whenever there's something detected. Squads, be spotters for the heavies. You pick up anything, shoot it first, ask questions later. GUnships, stay up high. At least five hundred meters. Don't be in a position where they can snipe at you. IF fire uspport is needed, it will be called adn engage in strafing runs. Heavies.."
She would growl. Scarlett would ake another moment. While they were sure that the aliens were in the freighters.. The more they stalled the likelier it was that the captives would be impregnated if they weren't already. And the aliens could fortify the freighters more. Or sneak out and infiltrate the starport further and ambush the brigage while they were having to go very slowly. She hated to do this.. But the greater tactical situation called for it.
"Continue the sweeps of the freighters. Those are where the aliens are and being deployed from. Be -Goddessdamned- careful when you do or I'll kill you myselves. Stay in touch and make sure your fireteams are in kill zones. Now is -not- the time to get sloppy when your asses will be nailed in a not fun way." A chorus of affirmatives would go out.
Now time to get ready to hunker herself. "Going to be withdrawing the command pod." She hated to do it. To have to take it a little bit off the battlefield. A proper leader lead from the front dammit. "Going to setup in one of the buildings." Which would make for a more defensible position and let her coordinae better. But she didn't have to like it.
"Armored units, fall back as well. WE'll use you for hammer an danvil when we pick up something. Soon as we note something, air units will suppress it and paste it, and if they can't we'll use you to run over them. Stay alert and get ready." They'd already seen that vehicles were vulnerable, and armored units weren't of much use in a perimter lockdown. So.. Hvave them a bit outside to keep them safe, then send them in hot and hard.
The 'armor' assigned to the Amazons wasn't heavy units. They were more assault guns. Vehicles with hover engines and auxiliary tracks with multi-purpose blaster cannons on top that could fire magnetically accelerated plasma rounds. Useful for combat against light vehicles and when positioned well enemy armor. A crew of three would 'woman' each vehicle. Pilot, gunner, electroncis specialist.
The deployed unit had two 'platoons' present of five vehicles each. Hover unis going, the two first platoon would circle around, escorting the falling back command unit. the vehicles each had 'names' stencilsed on the sides and pinup paints reflecting the preferences of the girls in them.
"Betsy Command One confirms." 'Betsy' being a pornographic picture of a red skinned woman riding atop a cyclone rocket used to detonate urban areas from superheavy artillery. The pilot of the vehicle being a green skinned girl with pointed ears and dark glossed hair that -claimed- she put out 'sexy phermones'. "Alicia, keep us calibrated. Set the guns for rapidfire." they were expecting the rapid moving bugs if they came out to swarm them at high speed. "Rest of you girls do the same. Position in circle." Meaning that a gun would face each way 'out' in a pentagram formation they could keep stable by being on repulsors so that they could cover each angle of approach, and if tehy were flanked all the guns could rapidly shift to cover an area.
