What to Do About the Redhead's Amnesia

Akane was the one who took pity on Mihoshi, naked (except for three band-aids). But it was Kasumi who seemed closer to her size, so that's the bedroom where the tan, blonde genie, and the three sisters convened. "Wow! It fits pretty well, Mihoshi!"

"I don't want to seem like I'm complaining, but it's a little tight in the bust and-" Mihoshi stopped, understanding only that what she was saying was prompting a deja vu incident with the girl who had been so kind to her.

"Oh, here is the book I was looking for," Kasumi said, taking one from the ones Dr. Tofu had lent her.

"If you think Kuno has amnesia, why don't you just do what Akane did when Ranma had it," Nabiki smirked.

"It was an accident!!" Akane yelled. Then: Shuddered! The redhead had almost attacked her dad and talked like a slut for a while there. It had been tough to keep her from actually becoming one!

"Owie!" Mihoshi said, the yell ringing in her ear.

"Forget the book," Nabiki said. "As Ranma's genie and the one wish you still owe him, it's up to you to use your powers to bring back the memories of the Chinese girl that drowned at Jusenkyo!"

"As I said, the Law of the Conservation of Magick carries with it Privacy Rules. It's not something bureaucratic; it's metaphysics."

"Then you'd better get started negotiating the complications!" What was she doing!?? She should be sabotaging them! It was in her greedy interest to keep Kuno clueless! Geez! She hated it when she acted 'out of character'. She would care for her family. And Ranma.

"According to this book, we just have to provide things and events that will trigger associations that lead back to forgotten memories," Kasumi said.

"Uh, I wouldn't take Kuno to China, yet," Nabiki schemed. "Her drowning had to be traumatic. And it would have been even worse if she was like Ranma and was a male chauvinist jerk who was **** to live a girl's life. Don't forget, Kuno is already holding onto his last thread of sanity."

"I think Nabiki is right," Kasumi said, skimming through the book. "We should ease into retrieving the poor girl's memories."

"Maybe." Akane frowned. But then she gasped! "Ranma's only tried to go back to Jusenkyo one time! He says he wants to, but, maybe, it's really too traumatic for him!" This was something; this episode was making her sympathetic to the Pervert.

"Okay, then! You tell me what to conjure up, and I'll see what the Law allows," Mihoshi said.

"Meantime, we must find you a place to sleep, Mihoshi," said Kasumi, the gracious hostess.

"She's a genie! She can sleep in her Aladdin's lamp!" Nabiki said.

"No, I can't!" Mihoshi was on the verge of whining again. "The lamp went off without me!"

"What??!" Akane said. "You poor, homeless genie," Kasumi said. "Explain!" Nabiki said.

"I'm locked out until I can grant my master's wish because I'm a failure as a genie!" She began to bawl. "It's waiting where the next Diamond-in-the-Rough can find it!"

"So, I can't use it to get my wish?" Nabiki said, her sympathy towards the ditz diminished.

"And the lamp will punish me again if I'm not there to grant the next One Wish! It goes against the Law to have two masters!"

Then, again, maybe the ditz did deserve some sympathy. That was like Jafar. "I hate it when I act out-of-character," she muttered.
