What is Rufus wondering?
What Comes Next?
2047- Five Years Later
"That's it, Big Brother, fuck that slutty bride's arsehole." Poppy encourages me as I thrust into Rosie's anus. My girlfriend holding the many layers of the dress out of the way to allow for access. Our sister's guttural groans are definitely audible to whoever's outside of this dressing room... Not that we care.
As I unleash a built-up torrent of semen into her back passage, Rosie trembles and falls to her knees, spunk leaking onto the floor. Poppy wastes no time in cleaning the dick that was just in her sister's arse with her mouth, before returning it to my trousers for me, and standing back up to allow me to embrace her.
"Damn... I know it's been a while, but I swear that thing's gotten bigger." Rosie pants as she slowly returns to her feet. "I know it was my fantasy, but I might not be able to walk up the aisle if my legs don't stop shaking." She jokes, fixing her dress, before heading over to the mirror to redo her now messed-up make-up. Most brides wouldn't want to do their own styling on their wedding day, there's enough stress already, but then Rosie always has thrived under pressure.
"Come on, babe, let's head back through." Poppy decides, eyes sparkling up at me. "We need to get good seats... You know, since it's not like we'll ever be in front of an altar otherwise." She adds with a hint of bitterness.
I put a hand on her chin to keep her eyes on mine. "You know I'll marry you the very second it's legal for direct siblings." I assure her, kissing her forehead. I turn back to Rosie, who's too focused to notice us. "We'll see you up there!" I grin as we make our exit. Poppy seems satisfied with my answer. The truth is, I don't know if or when we'll be able to marry each other, but even if it's 2100, I'll still drop to one knee for her.
As we open the door to the dressing room, we find Marie on the other side, dressed in a full tux and with her hair tied into a ponytail. "Hey! It's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding." Poppy admonishes her, blocking said groom's entry.
"How about fucking the bride before the wedding? Good or bad luck?" Marie laughs. Poppy can't seem to dispute this and lets her pass with a shrug. Our cousin enters the room and closes the door, leaving us to make our way to the hall.
"For the record, on our wedding day, you don't get to see me until I walk down the aisle." Poppy smirks, linking my arm. "Assuming Marie doesn't return the favour and arse-fuck me so hard I can't walk." She adds, giving us both a laugh.

"Ladies, fellas, and the people who don't give a heck!" The announcer misquotes as the lights dim and spotlights focus on the entrance. "Please join me in welcoming, for their first dance, Mrs and Mrs Rosie and Marie Monroe!" The crowd gives a cheer as the newly married couple enters the reception hall.
The main ceremony wasn't much to talk about, the usual fare. Love and cherish till **** do us part, blah blah blah. This, however, is much more Rosie and Marie. The spotlights follow them to the centre of the floor as the cheers subside and the band picks up. Apparently Rouge called in a favour, because they managed to get a band called 'Unnamed' to work the event, despite their recent surge in popularity.
As the song continues, I feel Poppy grab my hand and pull me towards the dance floor alongside the other couples. I spot a few I recognise. Maid of Honour Andi and Echo, Best Woman Sienna with some American singer chick whose name I forgot to ask, Ty and Maia Ryker, our old music teacher. Best not to ask about that last one. But truthfully, I can't look too closely. That would mean looking away from Poppy. I'm sure that she hasn't changed that much in the last five years... But she looks so much more beautiful every time. She's not just my partner in romance, she's my best friend. It feels like we're incomplete without each other.
The music picks up from its slow ballad to a fast-paced rock song, causing squeals from the audience as more people rush the dance floor. I don't move. With Poppy in my arms, staring into my eyes, I may as well be wearing concrete shoes.
I'm right where I need to be.

2057- Ten Years Later
"Go on, Rowan!"
Poppy screams with all the breath in her lungs as our daughter gives a last burst of energy to send her rocketing over the finish line. Poppy's pride in Rowan has given rise to a competitive streak that must be pretty intimidating for other parents, especially given that this is a sports day event for nine-year-olds.
Rowan came to us through adoption a few months after Rosie and Marie's wedding. Turns out the government is still unsure about allowing sibling marriage, but no one's in a hurry to prevent sibling couples from saving kids from the broken system. She was so tiny when she came to us, now she's as vibrant as her mother, with a sardonic side as well... No idea where that came from.
"Mum, Dad, did you see?" She yells, running into my waiting arms, upon which I pull her up to rest on my right arm, while the left examines her prize. A gold medal. Well... I say gold, it's cardboard with sparkly gold spray paint. The kids actually made them in class, according to Echo. Sorry, I should say Mrs Cyprus at school. "I ran the fastest ever!" Rowan decides, showing Poppy the results of her effort.
Poppy gives a huge smile as she kisses our daughter on the cheek. "Amazing, I saw, you were so speedy!" She praises, admiring the already chipping medal. "How about... We stop by Mamie and Grandma's house on the way home? They can make your favourite, and you can play with Garnet?" She offers, as if we haven't already made plans to visit. Garnet is Rosie and Marie's eldest. Unlike us, Rosie actually carried her with the help of a donor. Marie's turn a couple of years later resulted in Carmine, whom I welcomed gleefully as another male member of the family.
Rowan squeals in excitement and hugs her mother, shifting out of my arms and into hers. The day wraps up and we arrive at the extended family home. Mum and Mama couldn't bring themselves to sell off the house, so they kept it and sold off the house in France. Rosie and Marie don't live too far away, so they visit regularly. We're a bit further afield. I wish I could visit more, but our parents understand.
I sit at the table, looking around at the faces. Mum and Mama, full of pride, retired early and enjoying the simple life... And each other, still. I hear that they still keep in touch with their old friends. Might as well, they've got the time and love to spare.
Rouge and Trish aren't in attendance, but their presence is always felt, especially with the way Garnet mimics Rouge's every mannerism. They're currently in Germany, Rouge is leading a team there for curing a... Something, I didn't understand half the words she used.
Rosie sits on Marie's lap, like a couple of teenagers, admiring the kids playing. Rosie discovered a passion for writing and even had a few short stories published, but her kids are her world, nothing could really tear her away from them. Marie had a brief stint in video game tournaments, before getting recruited for her coding talents. From destroying people in games to making them, truly living the dream.
Andi's career in football lasted longer than she expected, but age catches up to us all, now she serves as a coach on the regional team. She'll never admit this, but I think she has more money than all of us combined. Echo, as mentioned, ended up as a primary school teacher. Apparently 'I expect stupidity from them, it's adults being dumb I can't stand' is her reasoning for being the kids favourite teacher.
Sienna never really settled down, she's gone from just modelling to running her own agency in the US. She's reportedly feared and desired in equal measure. There's also been salacious rumours connecting her with every popular celebrity, with one source describing her as 'an awakening experience'.
Ty and Maia got married, who saw that coming? Least of all me. I'd love to give you an anecdote, but we don't hang out that much. Maia runs our old school now, meanwhile Ty got into youth counselling. Maybe they were joined by their passion for future generations? Hard to say.
Poppy's the most surprising, after a small tenure as an admin assistant, she started her own customer service firm, allowing businesses to outsource to them. It worked so well she barely has to turn up anymore, which she's a fan of. If it were up to her, she'd never leave Rowan's side. If you thought of Poppy as meek and unassuming, that idea would vanish if you saw how she reacted to the one kid that tried bullying Rowan. Terrifying doesn't do it justice.
Then there's me. Realistically, Poppy's the breadwinner, I could just be a househusband, but... Well, that wouldn't suit me. A week in my life usually consists of a couple of days teaching guitar at youth centres, a couple committed to activism – I gotta make sure I can marry Poppy someday – and the rest are family time. Not just Poppy and Rowan, but for everyone. I don't know where I'd be without them.
I can honestly say I'm r̴i̸g̸h̷t̵ ẃ̷̲h̷̼͗e̶͍̎r̷̥̀ë̴̲ ̷̼̐Ḯ̷̧'̸̤̐m̷̘͘
Huh. That was odd. Let's try again.
I'm right where Ȋ̸̦̠̎̓'̴̝̇͂m̴͍̌ ̵̻̘͘ṃ̷̐e̸̱̊à̴͉̟͈n̸͍͎̼͗͊͠t̷̥̬̞́̽ ̵̻̘̺̿̑t̶̢̧̋͌o̴͙̯͈͒
Fuck off.
Fuck that.
You're just going to ignore me? No chance, motherfucker.
The next chapter's all mine.
You got a problem with that, dickhead?
