What Buffy Falls For Part 1

"Wait, the vampire really combusted right in front of you?" Faith asked as she walked with Buffy out of her house. The sun was just beginning to set over the horizon.

"Yeah, Angel is calling me out," Buffy said. "Finally."

"You ready?" Faith asked.

Buffy nodded her head. She had no doubt. "Yeah, I'm going to kill him."

"Great, let's do this."

"No, just me. Angel is many things, but he is not stupid. He's not going to try and fight both of us."

"So I just sit on the bench during the big showdown?"

Buffy shook her head, "I'm worried this is a distraction. Angel is angry and hopefully acting reckless, but we shouldn't respond in kind. He might try to target Xander. He's at Cordelia's place. I want you to keep them safe."

"Wait so I'm babysitting..." Faith began to say, but paused as she realized what she could get up to. "You know what, that's a great plan."

"First, check in with Giles. Angel knows we’ll be protecting Xander, he might go for someone else. And when you get to Cordelia’s…don't have so much fun you lose track of what is going on."

"Are you sure you're up for this, Dru?" Spike asked, concerned.

"Naughty boy, Spike," Dru whispered as she looked him over. "You didn't tell me you could walk again."

"Yeah, luv, I'm up and ready to go," he said as she ran his hands over her body. "You're not going to get distracted by the boy, are you?"

"Spike, are you jealous?" Drusilla teased.

"Not as much as Angel," he said with a grin. "I don't mind letting you out to play...every now and then, at least."

Dru gave a moan of pleasure. "Can't I play with him a little more?"

"Nope Dru, time to get serious."

"Okay, Spike, I've had my fun. Are you going to watch?"

"No baby, I've got to work on plan A, your plan B," Spike said as he looked at the minions around him. "Remember the plan, boys"

As Spike walked away Dru closed her eyes and reached deep within herself. "Xander, come to me."

"Faith should be here by now," Xander said as he paced nervously.

"I don't see what you're worried about," Cordelia said as she flipped through channels. She had been hoping that they'd be having sex by now. "It's not like the vampires can get in here."

"Something's wrong," Xander said, shaking his head.

"Please, Angel is completely off his game," Cordelia said absentmindedly. "The plan worked perfectly."

Xander stopped pacing, "What plan?"

Cordelia looked at him in confusion, before realizing they had never told him, "Oh shit."

"Cordelia, what are you..." Xander began as she paced toward her, but suddenly froze.

Cordelia looked at him concerned. "Xander?"

His eyes had gone glassy. "Drusilla."

"What was that?" Cordelia asked as she got up.

"Drusilla," Xander said as he turned and walked away. "She's calling to me."

"What in the world?" Cordelia mumbled as she chased after him into the kitchen. He was headed toward the doors. Outside was a group of vampires grinning like they were getting food delivered.

Which Cordelia realized was exactly what they were expecting.

"Xander! No!" Cordelia said as she grabbed onto him and tried to pull him back. Unfortunately, while there were a lot of girls in Xander's life who could throw him around, Cordelia was not one of them.

Cordelia wrapped her legs around Xander while she tried to hold onto the counter, but she knew she couldn't last long.

A) Physically attack him to try and break the spell (2)
