What's behind the door?

You decide that the door, since it's the closest, might be the best choice. You reach out carefully and turn the knob, then push the door open with a sudden nudge and wait to see if anything happens.

A couple seconds pass and nothing happens save for the door striking the wall behind it and coming to a stop. You lean forward and peer inside the room. It's a fairly large room, apparently a sitting room, with chairs and sofas for furniture and a table in the center of the room.

other than the furniture, the room is empty.

You step inside and look around. On the opposite side of the room is another door, and nearby is a candlestick, candle already in place.
