Web of Woe

Seemingly falling forever, twisting this way and that, Kate was caught in a thick web. Struggling to find a way to free herself, she only manages to get even more entangled.

"My my, what have we here?" A voice echos out of a nearby chasm.

Kate watches in wonder, as four spider legs scurried towards her. In full view, Kate faces her captor, Arachnida, Queen of the Deepwood.

"What's this? An Elf, far from her camp? How nice of you to... Drop in." Arachnida chuckles at Kate's struggling.

"Your kind no longer holds sway over this wood, begone abomination! HMM!" Arachnida summons another large spider to shoot webbing over Kate's mouth after hearing her bold threat.

"Poor fool, my kind have been here for centuries, since before elves came to be. In this wood, flourishing we were, until your kind slaughtered us and driven us underground! But, as you can see around you, me and my kind are ready for an uprising." Hundreds of spiders, big and small begin to creep towards the helpless elf.

SNAP!

The spiders flee at the sound of Arachnida snapping her fingers. "Though, what's the rush? Right now, I'm starving, but I like to play with my food first."
