Watching TV

I open the basement door, stepping out into the front hallway of Will's house. I can hear faint voices coming from the living room - it is a relatively big house after all - and head over, my bare feet making little sound on the carpeted floor.

Will, Jake, Emily and Allie are seated around Will's 50+ inch HDTV, all facing away from me as I walk in. Jake hears my footsteps and turns around to greet me.

"Finally up huh," he says, giving me a quick wink.

"Yeah," I say, smiling back, "and I totally forgot that the NFC championship game is on today!"

"Yeah man, your just in time to catch kickoff. Get over here."

"Is Doe up yet?" asks Emily.

"No. Still pretty tired by the looks of it," I reply, unsure of what she and the rest think went on, "Where's Alice?"

"Still asleep too," says Will, "She got pretty drunk last night. Almost dangerously so."

"Oh yeah?" I ask, raising an eyebrow, "She okay?"

"Yeah she's fine now," jumps in Allie, "Almost tore off Jake and Will's clothes last night though."

I laugh, trying to picture cute, innocent Alice doing just that.
