Waking up

Katie yawned as her eyes fluttered open. She was startled to see the immediate sleeping face of Alexa. She blushed as she let go of her. Alexa seemed to stir awake. “Ladies and gentlemen we will be arriving in LAX in about 20 minutes. Our flight attendants will come around with breakfast courtesy of American Airlines. We hope you enjoyed your flight. At this point in time, I will be flipping on the seatbelt sign as we seem to be having some turbulence. Please remain in your seat until it shuts off.”

“It’s a good thing we have protection,” Alexa whispered to Katie causing her to giggle.

“How’d you sleep?” Katie asked, trying not to blush.

“It was nice,” Alexa whispered. “Very comfy.”

Katie smiled. “Would you… want to come with me? I’m sure my aunt wouldn’t mind… and maybe… we could hang out.”

“I don’t want to intrude,” Alexa said.

“Please, it’ll be nice to have a friend and some back up,” Katie said. “My aunt… does know about my problem. Actually she’s the only one that knows.”

Alexa sighed. “As long as it’s not a problem.”

Katie nodded as they were served scrambled eggs and breakfast sausages. “This’ll be so much fun,” Katie said. “I never knew anyone with my… problem.”

Alexa smiled. “I guess it will be.”
