Waking up

"It isn't me!" Camilla suddenly jerked awake, a bell ringing in her ears. She was breathing hard, her body feeling the exertion of her run down the hallways. But that was just a dream, she was in the library, where she had been all along, asleep at a desk.

The bell had faded away, but something about it was bothering her, Camilla couldn't remember what it was...

"The pep rally!" she exclaimed, jumping to her feet. There was no one in the library to object to her sudden shout, and as she left the room she found no one in the corridors, either.

They would all be in the gym, where Camilla should have been, leading the cheerleading team. They must be doing a routine without her, and she didn't even have time to get changed into her uniform! The only thing she could do, she decided, was style it out. She wasn't the sad nerd from her dreams, she was the most popular girl in school, and she would be fine.

Camilla reached the gym, she pushed the bar on the double doors and swung them open. As expected, the cheerleading team was performing for the entire school, and had just formed a pyramid with an empty spot at the top where she should have been.

"Go, team!" Camille yelled, joining in the spirit, "Whooo!" she saw everyone turn to look at her, clearly they had all been waiting for her, wondering where she was. She gave a big smile to go with her cheer.

"Camilla!" Jenny exclaimed.

"Your uniform!" Ashley added.

"Oh, yeah," Camilla said, "I didn't have time to get changed, sorry."

"But you had time to get undressed?"

"What?"

With a sinking feeling in her stomach, Camilla realised why she had been feeling just a little too cold, and a little bit unrestricted as she ran through the school. Her cheeks burned red as she looked down and realised something horrifying.
