Waking up

You wake up to find Adela isn't next to you. Your first move is to check your phone, to make sure you're not late. Although you find some relief in not being late, you also begin to worry that Adela may be regretting last night. After getting dressed, you head out to look for her. You find Adela in the kitchen, drinking a coffee with a blank stare.

"Hey." You say.

"Hey."

"You okay?"

"Yeah..."

"This about last night?"

"A little... It just happened so fast." She chuckled.

"I'm sorry if your, uh..."

"No, it's fine. It was great... really."

"Okay."

"I mean, it's not like I was going to wait until we're married or anything."

"Right."

She shakes her head "Sorry. My mind's just going a million miles an hour right now..."

"To be honest, my first time was pretty awkward, so..."

"Well you've had a lot of practice since then I guess." Adela flashed a smile.

"Heh. Yeah... Not as much as I'd like."

To your relief, Adela laughs at your joke. "We might have to change that."

"I guess so."

"Anyway. Would you like breakfast?"

"I'd love breakfast."

"I think I've only got cereal. That okay?"

"More than fine."

The two of you proceed to eat breakfast. Adela seems to relax more and more, and soon enough she's her bubbly self once more. After eating, you give her a kiss on the cheek and say "I gotta get to work. See you tonight?"

"Should be able to."

"Okay babe. See you then."

"See you."
