Chapter 5 by akito01 akito01

Carry or Wake her?

Wake her up.

"Miki, hey, Miki," you say loudly, shaking her leg hard. She hardly moves. Still calling her name, you gently pry open an eyelid. Pupil dilated, she finally manages to focus on you as she regains some measure of consciousness.

"Listen, we're home at my place. I'm going to try and help you inside. You think you're up to walking?"

"I don't feel too hot," she says, shutting her eyes again. "Just very very tired."

Getting out of the car, you open the passenger side door and grab her around the torso. Miki lets out a moan of complaint, but does finally let you drag her to her unsteady feet.

"Just lean on me as best you can," you instruct her, moving one of her arms across your back so she can hold on.

"I feel dizzy," Miki complains, leaning hard against you as you walk. She's certainly not a big girl, but damn if she doesn't have some weight, making the stroll through the lobby a bit more difficult than you expected.

At any rate, a short elevator ride later and you're practically home. Miki leans back against the wall as you open your front door to let the two of you in. She nearly slides down to her butt, but you manage to catch her in time. Miki laughs, and you find yourself laughing too, though this is all proving to be something of a hassle.

Leading her inside, you settle her on the living room couch, where she almost immediately goes limp. You think to yourself that you two options. You can try and move her over to the bedroom and let her crash in there, or put on some coffee and try to sober her up before anything else.

Coffee or Crash?
