Waits till Monday

Over the weekend, you just chilled at home like always. Emely helped you with “cunt research” as she called it, and Melody called you a few times since she has work on the weekends.

You arrive at work at 8 am and say some pleasantries to your coworkers.

You work at an accounting firm and have your CPA.

Your boss is a middle aged bitch and as usual, she comes in late at around 10:20am, the pudgy blonde carrying a shopping bag. She does own the company, but it sets a bad precedent for those of you who have to come in at the normal time.

You wait until she gets to her office before leaving your own and knock on her open door. “Hello Ms. Heller, do you have moment?”

She puts her bag by the couch and leans on her desk. “Sure, but make it quick.”

“Okay.” You walk in and shut the door. “I wish to work from home. There is nothing I do here that requires my physical presence.”

“No. If I let you do that, others would come with the same request.”

“Actually there are only three of us two of us whose presence is not required at the office. I am not even needed at most meetings, and the ones I do attend, I can video conference.” You persist.

“I said no, Jack. Now get back to work before send you home permanently.” She uses a more forceful tone.

“I thought it might come to this. So, if you do not let me do my job from home for this company, you will not be able to wear a stitch of clothing.” You deliver your ultimatum.

She pales slightly and whispers. “You wouldn’t.”

“I would.” You reply.

She appears to be thinking and while she does, her hand goes to her blouse and starts to unbutton. You raise your eyebrow, which she notices, and looks down. “Damn! Okay, you can work from home.”

You thank her while she buttons back up and you leave to your office. You download some files on a USB and then walk out the door.
