Wait until the event starts

A few minutes after 12:30 AM, Kate hears a knock on her door. She jumps to her feet and opens the door, smiling and ready to start. Gracie - her light blond hair in a ponytail, bright green eyes glinting, red lipstick glistening on her lips - stands in the doorway.

"Kate, put this on," Gracie hands Kate a blindfold. "Now put your arms on my shoulders, hold on and follow me. Don't talk."

Kate grasps onto Gracie's shoulders, stumbling slightly as Gracie starts to walk. They exit the room, and Kate feels the rush of hot summer air as they exit Fontaine Hall. She continues to follow Gracie blindly for what seems like a long time. Kate can hear the whispers of students that they pass by and the summer wind rustling the campus trees. Finally they come to a stop and Gracie knocks quietly four times on a door. The door opens immediately and they enter.

"You may now take off your blindfold," Gracie says, turning to face Kate.
