Wait inside

Not wanting to seem too eager Sam moves to sit back at the table and continues eating his toast as the front door opens and the burly man walks in, looking straight at Sam.

"Who the hell are you?" the man demands.

Sam nearly chokes on his toast at the man's words. "Um.... I'm Sam," he finally says. "I'm a friend of Shelly's."

The man looks like he's about to respond but a woman appears in the doorway beside him. "Hi," she says brightly. "I'm Emma and this is Mike."

"Nice to meet you." Sam replies as a black haired girl walks in, in her late teens or early twenties, and behind her two blonde haired teens a boy and a girl.

"This is our daughter Lauren and the twin's Joe and Phina." Emma continues, and the kids all nod in greeting before making their way towards the bedrooms. "Is there any more of that toast going? I'm famished."
