Wade into the fight (Combat)

You can't leave the dragonborn to be overwhelmed and killed. You notice that there’s an axe left stuck in a tree stump at the entrance of the clearing, and that none of the bandits are facing that way.

You pull the axe from the stump and examine it. It's not that sharp, being made for cutting logs, but it’s heavy. You heft it in both hands.

Holding the axe in above your head, you charge towards the nearest bandit, shouting a warcry. He turns, startled, but you're moving fast enough to take a swing before he can react; he manages to get his knife up in front of his face, trying to block, but the heavy axe blade knocks it back, snapping it in half against his nose before crashing through, burying itself in the bandit's head.

He crumples to the ground, and you bend down and grab the shortsword from his lifeless hand. Another bandit rushes toward you, dragging his left leg, and you have to dodge back as he hacks wildly.

But he's injured and slow, and you knock one of the knives out of his hands before stabbing him in he chest. Turning, you see the sole remaining bandit charging at you...

There's a flash of light on metal behind the bandit, and a longsword blade cuts halfway through the bandit's neck. The draconian steps back, pulling his blade out and letting the bandit crumple.

The draconian wipes his blade clean on the grass. “Thank you for your help.” He says, his voice deep.

"Well, you needed it." You say, laughing a little, and he laughs as well.

"I did, I did...” He mutters, gently probing his cut with his hand. It obviously hurts, as he flinches.

“How much do you know about treating wounds? I have a favour to ask."

"I know a little. Enough to fix the cut on your face, if that's what you're asking." You say, and he nods.

"Come in then.” He says, gesturing for you to follow. You walk up the steps to his cabin, and follow him inside.
