Volt #3: Visions of Vixen

ISSUE THREE

Thunder rumbled across the rooftops of Saint Cities green district. Flashes of light briefly illuminated the trees of central park and waves of sound rattled windows. But the stars twinkled clearly in the night and the moons silver light washed uninterrupted across the sleeping city. No cloud hung in the sky and not a single drop of rain fell to the earth. Again; a flash and a crack as thunder and lightning roiled out over some of the more expensive apartment buildings in the area. A storm of a different type had begun to rage above the city. Flashes of light burst out from the balcony of a studio apartment, from them a figure fell to the street below.

Glowing blue hair trailed behind the falling form, any who looked closely would see a face twisted with anger and eyes glowing with a fierce orange light. The tumbling woman wore a high cut, long sleeved leotard woven from a durable mesh and finished in dark blue. A pair of orange lightning bolts formed a V on her chest to frame her ample cleavage and serve as her symbol.

The amazon turned in the air to look back to where she had fallen from. {if@ Body = true}Lightning arced across her body as her Amp Shield charged in preparation for another strike against her adversary.{elseif Spirit = true}Her hair glowed with increased intensity as she pointed her finger up to her adversary and prepared to fire her Flash Cannon.{endif} It was all an act of defiance that amounted to nothing. Only seconds after being thrown from the balcony above the hero crashed down into a luxury vehicle parked below. She hurt. For the first time since becoming a super human she had actually been injured. Rage cut through pain and she **** her body to move. With a burst of strength the hero launched herself from the wrecked car and into the street just in time to avoid a plunging attack from her foe. The madman had leapt from the building above to pursue her and slammed into what remained of the vehicle. Each stood to face the other; one of blue hair from the road and the other of yellow eyes from the twisted metal of a totalled car.

A dark grey hand snapped out to wrench a door free from the wreck and hurl it towards the busty heroine. She deflected the metal projectile with {if Body = true}an amped up backhand{elseif Body = false}a backhanded swing{endif} only to discover her opponent right up behind it. He slipped low and braced himself against the ground to put his full super human power into an upward kick and launch his adversary up and across the rest of the street. Her back slammed into a street light before she fell back to the pavement.

"You've got power, I'll give you that. But you need skill to win." Mongrel walked confidently towards his downed opponent. "If you learned to fight more efficiently you'd be a real menace. No doubt about it."

Volt lifted her upper body from the ground and turned her gaze to her hated foe. "Skill is important..." She rose to a crouching position. "...but surprise works once on everybody." {if Body = false}Blue-white ribbons of electricity arced across her body as she powered up her Amp Shield and launched into a charge.{elseif Mind = false}The glow of her eyes grew intense as her Brain Buzz activated and waves of stunning electromagnetic energy washed out from her mind.{elseif@ Spirit =false}The glow of her hair intensified as her arm snapped up to point a charged fingertip towards her adversary.{endif}
