Visiting the settlements

The next day you've planned for Niall to guide you to the three Scottish settlements on your lands. You had to inform your new serfs about your king's recent changes to the laws and tax rates. You, Niall and six of your personal guards were saddling up the horses when Lili came running towards you.

"Sir Garrick, I've heard you are going to visit the settlements. Can I join you on this trip?" she asked.

"Do you know how to ride Lili?" you responded.

She shaked her head, "My father did not allow me to learn horse-riding as he said it might damage my virginity. I've hoped that we could take the carriage."

Seeing you contemplating the matter Niall interjected, "Sir, the roads are currently in a very bad state due to the rain the last two weeks. Driving a carriage might be difficult as the wheels will likely get stuck. We would have to drive very slowly to avoid the mud pools."
