Ventress’ Assualt

You waited in your room even as the cruiser came under attack. Supposedly you were coordinating the clones but they could easily handle the droids. So instead you waited, in your hands was a particular holodisk. One filled with fake reports of Nute Gunray having betrayed the Confederacy and started working with the Republic.

All bullshit of course but it would be enough to convince Dooku. And since he would likely just execute him immediately then he probably would never get a chance to realise the truth.

You heard footsteps in the vents above you, likely Ventress trying to be sneaky. But you just waited patiently until she dropped down in front of you. Landing on her knees waiting patiently for you to speak.

“Here’s the data” you say handing her the holodisk “show it to Dooku and watch what comes next”

“It will be done my Master” she replied before leaving and disappearing into the shadows.

Later on Ventress' Ship

They had stolen a Republic corvette to make their escape and so far it seemed that they had managed to escape. Her two associates believed they were safe, but she knew just how mistaken they truly were.

The senate guard simply bragged about his accomplishment and condescendingly offered to tell Count Dooku about her ‘small’ accomplishment.

“I’ll tell him myself” she snarled igniting her lightsaber into his chest.

“I knew I had a good feeling about you, assassin” Nute Gunray said, a bad lie.

“Is that so? Good instincts” she lied, slightly humoured by what he didn’t know.

At this time the ship’s communicator began to beep before her, it seemed Count Dooku wished to speak to her.

“My Lord I have done as you requested, Nute Gunray has been rescued from the Republic’s clutches” she explained.

“Excellent work apprentice. I am pleased with your actions, it would be a problem were the Republic to take him into custody” Count Dooku said now bring him home.

“Before you go my Lord there is something I have found that may interest you” she said, secretly giddy. This was her moment.

“What have you found?”

“It turns out that our little Viceroy wasn’t uncooperative at all. According to these reports he had sold the Trade Federations’s loyalty in exchange for his freedom”

“What? That isn’t true” spluttered Nute Gunray but he sounded too afraid to be convincing. A fear that Ventress took some glee in.

“He had already broken a deal by the time I arrived. This message was to be sent to the chancellor discussing the deal” she lied, effortlessly. The Viceroy could only splutter as she transmitted the data.

“You were a fool to believe you could hide this from me” Count Dooku said, with tranquil fury.

“This is a lie” he shouted, but he was too scared to be convincing.

“You should have known that while the Republic would have imprisoned you, I would kill you”

“No please” he begged.

“Hopefully your replacement knows better. Ventress if you would” he asked, and she was all to eager to place her saber through the viceroy’s chest.

Sith often believed the Jedi were naive and gullible, but if one played their hands right the Sith were just as easy to manipulate.

A/N: I’ve mentioned before that I just don’t find Ventress attractive, hence the lack of eroticness regarding her in this chapter. Also since most events in the episode would play the same I skipped over most of them. In case you were wondering.
